Riga Twp., MI – The Lenawee County Drain Commissioner’s Office has issued a boil water advisory for customers on the Riga Water System. Their drinking and cooking water should be boiled for at least five minutes before it is used. If the water is used for drinking purposes, it should first be allowed to cool in a sealed container.
Bacterial testing of the system will be completed according to EGLE quality standard prior to removing the boil water order.
It is anticipated this boil advisory will continue for 1 to 3 days, however, the advisory will be in effect until further notice is received from the Lenawee County Drain Commissioner’s Office.
