Adrian, MI – A big question on every school-age child’s mind…and parent… is: how safe is it to go back to school this fall?

On View Point Saturday morning, WLEN’s guests were Superintendent Mark Haag of the Lenawee Intermediate School District, Superintendent Steve Guerra of Addison Community Schools, and Superintendent Dr. Michael Osborne of Hudson Area Schools. Each one of them talked about their school’s reopening plan.

WLEN News asked Superintendent Haag about what we have learned about COVID-19 as it relates to school-age children. He said that we are seeing lower rates of positive tests, but there is a possibility of kids being asymptomatic…

Superintendent Haag said that we will learn even more about COVID-19 in schools when surrounding states start to open for classes in the near future…

Several schools in the county plan to vote on their own reopening plans in the coming days.

Tune into our local and state newscasts, anytime day or night, for this story and more.
