COVID-19 Update: July 24th, 2020

Lenawee County, MI – The Lenawee County Health Department reported on Thursday afternoon that there were 306 total confirmed cases of COVID-19, an increase of five from Thursday.

There are 115 people monitoring at home, and 176 people “discontinued from isolation and improving.”

Four people were in the hospital as of Friday afternoon. 11 total deaths from COVID-19 have been reported in Lenawee County.

How is the virus impacting surrounding counties?

Jackson: 595 confirmed cases (+7 since Thursday) with 31 deaths (+0 since Thursday)

Monroe: 667 confirmed cases (+9) with 20 deaths (+0)

Hillsdale: 208 confirmed cases (+1) with 25 deaths (+0)

Washtenaw: 1,915 confirmed cases (+8) with 110 deaths (+0)

Statewide as of Friday afternoon…

There were 76,541 total confirmed cases, with 594 new cases reported on Friday. There were also 3 deaths reported on Friday. The total deaths from COVID-19 in Michigan, as reported by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, is at 6,151.

55,162 people (+ 1,295 from the week prior) are being reported as recovered as of Friday, July 17th. Recovered is defined as the number of persons with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis who are alive 30 days post-onset (or referral date if onset is not available). Recovery numbers are updated every Saturday.
