COVID-19 Update: July 22nd, 2020

Lenawee County, MI – The Lenawee County Health Department reported on Wednesday afternoon that there were 296 total confirmed cases of COVID-19, an increase of six from Tuesday.

There are 113 people monitoring at home, and 167 people “discontinued from isolation and improving.”

Five people were in the hospital as of Wednesday afternoon. 11 total deaths from COVID-19 have been reported in Lenawee County.

How is the virus impacting surrounding counties?

Jackson: 577 confirmed cases (+6 since Tuesday) with 31 deaths (+0 since Tuesday)

Monroe: 649 confirmed cases (+8) with 20 deaths (+0)

Hillsdale: 206 confirmed cases (+2) with 25 deaths (+0)

Washtenaw: 1,890 confirmed cases (+30) with 110 deaths (+0)

There were 75,248 total confirmed cases, with 523 new cases reported on Wednesday. There were 6 deaths reported on Wednesday. The total deaths from COVID-19 in Michigan, as reported by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, is at 6,141.

55,162 people (+ 1,295 from the week prior) are being reported as recovered as of Friday, July 17th. Recovered is defined as the number of persons with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis who are alive 30 days post-onset (or referral date if onset is not available). Recovery numbers are updated every Saturday.
