
Adrian, MI – A City of Adrian employee has tested positive for COVID-19. The employee was tested on Friday, July 17th and received the positive test result on Sunday, July 19th. The employee works at the Adrian Police Department, in the office area, and their last day worked was Thursday, July 16th.
The employee did not have any symptoms or feel ill last week, however chose to be tested as a family member felt ill and was also being tested. It is not believed that the employee contracted the virus from another staff member, but rather outside of work. Per the City of Adrian COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan, the employee will not return to work until they have been cleared by a medical professional.
All employees have been notified, and any employee that came into close contact with the employee that tested positive will follow the City of Adrian COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan accordingly.
The City of Adrian is in close contact with the Lenawee County Health Department and is following their guidance in the matter.
