Lenawee County, MI – A 61-year-old motorcycle driver died of injuries sustained in a crash on Friday afternoon in Lenawee County.

At approximately 3:34 pm, troopers from the Michigan State Police Monroe Post were dispatched to the car versus motorcycle crash on US-12 and Round Lake Highway.

It was determined through an investigation that there were two vehicles in front of the motorcycle that turned right onto southbound Round Lake Highway.

A Chevrolet Silverado, occupied by two people, was stopped at the intersection on Round Lake Highway at US-12 with an obstructed view of the motorcycle due to the vehicles in front of it. The Chevrolet Silverado then turned left onto US-12 into the path of the motorcycle. The motorcycle then lost control and struck the vehicle. The motorcycle driver died at the scene as a result of his injuries. The driver and passenger of the Chevrolet Silverado suffered no injuries.

Anyone having information about the incident is asked to contact the MSP Monroe Post.
