Lenawee County, MI – The Lenawee County Health Department has reported one new confirmed case of COVID-19 Thursday afternoon.

There are now 254 confirmed cases… with 86 people monitoring at home, and 153 people “discontinued from isolation and improving.”

Four people were in the hospital as of Thursday afternoon. 11 total deaths from COVID-19 have been reported in Lenawee County.

How is the virus impacting surrounding counties?

Jackson: 542 confirmed cases (+5 since Wed.) with 31 deaths (+0 since Wed.)

Monroe: 603 confirmed cases (+6) with 22 deaths (+0)

Hillsdale: 200 confirmed cases (+2) with 25 deaths (+0)

Washtenaw: 1,749 confirmed cases (+28) with 109 deaths (+0)

Statewide as of Thursday afternoon…

There were 71,842 total confirmed cases, with 645 new cases reported on Thursday. There were 16 deaths reported, with 13 of them being identified during a Vital Records review. The total deaths from COVID-19 in Michigan, as reported by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, is at 6,101.

On a positive note, 53,867 people are being reported as recovered as of Friday, July 10th. Recovered is defined as the number of persons with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis who are alive 30 days post-onset (or referral date if onset is not available). Recovery numbers are updated every Saturday.
