Tecumseh, MI – Tecumseh school officials have been notified that a South Early Learning Center staff member has tested positive for Covid-19.
School officials have taken immediate action and are working closely with the Lenawee County Health Department to mitigate further spread.
All individuals who were identified as close contacts of the staff member have been identified through contact tracing and have been directed to quarantine.
Teachers recently gathered at South Early Learning Center to distribute student items left behind after the executive order to close schools. Teachers followed Center for Disease Control precautions while encountering parents and students. Contacts between teachers and students were brief and happened outside.
TPS parents of South Early Learning Center students should be aware of the symptoms of COVID-19, which typically develop within 2 to 14 days after exposure.
