Monroe County, MI – The Michigan State Police are continuing the investigation into the fatal crash resulting in the death of Monroe County Animal Control Officer Darrian Young.

Last Thursday morning, the crash occurred at South Custer Road and Raisinville Road involving a Monroe County Sheriff Animal Control Division vehicle and a black 2014 Dodge Caravan driven by a 44 year old Hudson woman.

The suspect vehicle also had no license plate. At some point prior to the fatal crash, the suspect vehicle sustained front end damage. Business owners in the Monroe area are asked to review their surveillance footage between 7:30am and 8:10am on June 4th to see if their cameras may have possibly captured the suspect vehicle prior to the crash.

The vehicle was seen in the area of Telegraph Road, south of M-50 to Dunbar Road. The suspect vehicle then allegedly ran a vehicle off the road before fleeing to I-75 and South Otter Creek.
