Stabbing in Adrian Monday Afternoon; Suspect in Custody

Adrian, MI – A 17-year-old male has been arrested following a stabbing in Adrian. At approximately 2:30pm Monday afternoon, Adrian Police officers were dispatched to the 600 block of South Madison Street to investigate.

The APD reports that two male subjects were involved in a confrontation, and one stabbed the other. As a result of the investigation, a 17 year male, who is a local resident and was known to the victim, has been arrested. The identity of the suspect will be withheld until the suspect is arraigned in 2A District Court.

The victim is a juvenile, and was transported to a Toledo hospital suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen. The victim was awake and alert at the scene, and able to be interviewed. The condition of the victim has not been updated. If an update becomes available it will be released in a follow-up press release by the Adrian Police Department. The department will not release the name of the victim.
