
Adrian, MI – The Region of Irish Hills Narcotics Office (RHINO) and the Ann Arbor office of the ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) concluded nearly a yearlong investigation into one of Adrian’s alleged high-level drug dealers. On Thursday, May 7th two federal search and arrest warrants were executed in the 800 block of Treat Street and the 500 block of Tabor Street. Upon execution of the federal search warrants, approximately 120 grams of suspected cocaine, $13,000 in cash and 4 handguns (several stolen) were seized.
33 year old Jacob Christopher Edmond and 33 year old Shaun Amonta Lofton were arrested on federal charges, including distribution of controlled substances and conspiracy to distribute controlled substances. 21 year old Matthew David Walker was arrested on an outstanding warrant from the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office for flee and elude 3rd degree, with additional charges pending. A 2019 Ram pickup truck was also seized from Edmond.
RHINO and the ATF Ann Arbor office were assisted by the ATF SRT team, the MSP-Monroe Post and K-9 unit, the MSP-Jackson Post and K9 unit, the MSP First District Fugitive Team, the MSP Emergency Support Team, Customs and Border Patrol Aviation, MSP Aviation, the Livingston and Washtenaw Counties Narcotics Enforcement Team (LAWNET), the Jackson Narcotics Enforcement Team (JNET), the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office, the Adrian Police Department and the Madison Township Fire Department.
