Adrian College Adds Two BBA Degree Programs

ADRIAN — Adrian College has added two new Bachelor of Business  Administration (BBA) undergraduate degree programs that will start in the fall. In addition to its 10 other BBA majors, Adrian College is adding Human Resources Management, and Professional Sales.

Adrian College Professor Amber Gray said there is a high demand for the skills these programs provide.

“We are happy to be able to provide students with additional options within the business major that help students learn the skills that employers are asking for,” Gray said. “These two new programs were created with the involvement of experts in the industry and should help prepare our students for exciting careers in these fields.”

All undergraduate business students at Adrian College complete the Business Core curriculum. Courses include introduction business, accounting, managerial finance, marketing, organizational behavior, business and professional communications, business strategy, business law, and social, political and ethical issues in business.

Students are encouraged to combine their business degree with an internship, a minor, and/or a study abroad.

The BBA in Human Resources Management is a four-year degree program that focuses on the tasks involved in managing people.

Individuals interested in entering the human resources profession with a bachelor’s degree could search for employment in human resources departments and industrial or labor relations organizations. Some potential careers might include: human resources generalist, employee benefits manager, human resources manager, human resources development specialist, occupational analyst and employee training program manager.

The four-year Professional Sales major prepares students to build long-term customer relationships and meet top-line revenue and profit margin objectives by becoming effective listeners and problem solvers.
Sales majors work across the majority of industries in divisions and roles such as: inside-sales and outside territory sales, new business development, key account management, and sales specialists.
