The Lenawee County Circuit, Probate, and District Courts have issued administrative orders to close the Courthouse due to a public health emergency.
In a letter sent to WLEN News, the closure was made to combat the spread of disease, considering the risk posed to the public, court staff and other court agencies, and the public health recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The Rex B Martin Judicial Building, located at 425 N. Main St. in Adrian shall be closed to the public from March 17th through April 3rd. Unless further ordered, the judicial building will reopen to the public at 8am on April 6th.
All in custody arraignments involving adults and juveniles and emergency matters (including emergency filings) will be conducted while the Rex B Martin Judicial Building is closed to the public.
