
Adrian- The Catherine Cobb Safe House will host its Fifth Annual Everyday Heroes Event on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at the Adrian Armory at 6:00 PM to honor individuals who have shown courage, kindness and unselfish acts of heroism in the Lenawee County community. The public is welcome to attend.
The event will salute 14 local heroes and the Girl Scouts Heart of Lenawee troops from Adrian, Madison, Sand Creek and Morenci in the following categories: Law Enforcement, Fire, Mental Health Ambassador, Animal Rescue, Faith-Based, Adult Good Samaritan, Youth Good Samaritan, Local Military, Justice/Court, Educator, Community Citizen and Laura Haviland/Human Services Professional.
A Heroes Nominating committee of local community leaders met recently to select the award winners from solicited nominations. Honorees will be presented with engraved awards, “Certificates of Honor” from the Catherine Cobb Safe House and tributes from our Michigan State legislators and Congressman Walberg.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the trauma-focused domestic violence and sexual assault services provided by the Catherine Cobb Safe House.
