A fire in downtown Adrian Thursday night appeared, at first, to be the building on the corner of Church and Maumee Street, but that was not entirely true.
Adrian City Fire Department Lieutenant Jason Hallenbeck told WLEN News that the fire may have started in a lean-to shed behind the structure. Crews from Adrian City, Adrian Township, and Madison Township responded to the call… and it took less than 20 minutes to get the fire under control.
Lieutenant Hellenbeck said that there was minimal fire extension to the interior of the building, and that there was minimal damage as a result.
As of Thursday night, the fire was considered suspicious and was under investigation.
