A $1 million Millionaire Maker instant game ticket was sold at Fricker’s in Adrian.

WLEN News talked to one of the owners and general managers of Fricker’s, Jeff Sudborough, about the winning ticket…

The restaurant will receive a commission and some sort of recognition from the lottery.

“I was out with my son-in-law when I scratched the ticket off,” said the 63-year-old Lenawee County man. “I looked at it a couple times and then scanned it with my phone. When I saw the message that I’d won $1 million, I felt a rush like I’d never felt before.”

The player visited Lottery headquarters recently to claim the big prize. He chose to receive the prize as a one-time lump sum payment of about $634,000 rather than annuity payments for the full amount. He plans to share the windfall with his family.

“It’s nice to have money now that I can share with my family when they could use it,” the player said.

Players have won more than $37 million playing Millionaire Maker, which launched in April. Each $20 ticket offers players a chance to win prizes ranging from $40 up to $1 million. More than $61 million in prizes remain, including seven $1 million top prizes and 41 $5,000 prizes.
