Sonic Wave Generator an Option to Fix Adrian Drinking Water Taste & Odor

adrian-city-commission-7-15-19

As temperatures in Lake Adrian start to rise with the warm weather, the question on the minds of Adrian residents will once again turn to taste and odor issues. Adrian City Administrator Nathan Burd gave an update to the commission about a possible short-term solution during the pre meeting Monday night.

Administrator Burd spoke to WLEN News about the possible solution after the meeting…

Administrator Burd also said that the money set aside in the budget this year could cover the cost of the project… which is estimated to be more than $200,000.

If the Commission were to wait until next year to implement a short-term solution, the project would not align with the recommendations from Tetra Tech, the firm hired to conduct the water optimization study.

The possible advantage of waiting until next year to purchase the equipment would be that there could be some state funding available. Nothing was voted on during the pre meeting study session, but there could be something on a future agenda.
