The Croswell Opera House is offering a workshop on college theater program auditions for high school juniors and seniors who are interested in studying performance in college.

The class will take place from 9 a.m. to noon the week of July 22-26. It will be led by Julia Hoffert, recruiting coordinator for the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre and Dance; Michael Yuen, chair of the musical theater program at Siena Heights University; and Kristi Davis, a choreographer, teacher and former Radio City Rockette.

The deadline to register is July 14, but participation will be capped to ensure personal instruction time for all students, so early signup is recommended.

The class will focus on preparation for both college and professional auditions. It will be most useful for students applying to theater, musical theater, and vocal performance programs.
