
Adrian House Fire
A house fire on Chandler Street in Adrian is under investigation after extensive damage was done to the front of the home.
The Adrian Fire Department responded to the initial call at 1:17am Friday morning…and were assisted by Adrian Township and Madison Township.
Raisin Township was called in to assist later on. Before firefighters were on scene, all 6 residents were out of the home.
Adrian Fire Chief Aric Massingill reported to WLEN News that the fire was under control by about 3am Friday morning.
Tecumseh House Fire
UPDATE : 7:34pm 7/5/19 *From a Tecumseh Police Department Press Release*
“TECUMSEH, Mich. — At approximately 04:45 am the Tecumseh Fire and Police Departments, along with Lenawee Community Ambulance, were dispatched to 416 N. Evans St. for a structure fire. Upon arrival fire crews observed a two-story residential apartment structure with flames showing through both the first and second story windows. The building has four apartments and all were occupied at the time of the incident. All four families were evacuated with the assistance of neighbors and emergency personnel. Upon investigation it was determined that the fire was intentionally set, by a disgruntled acquaintance of one of the buildings occupants. A 29-year-old male suspect is in custody and was lodged at the Lenawee County Jail, with charges pending. Tecumseh emergency personnel were assisted by the Clinton, Raisin Township, Ridgeway, Adrian Township, and the Sand Lake fire departments. A house fire caused significant damage to one side of the exterior of a home on North Evans Street in the city of Tecumseh early Friday morning.
Tecumseh Fire Chief Joe Tuckey told WLEN News that they responded to the initial call at around 4:45am…along with firefighters from Raisin Township and Clinton Village.
By the time firefighters were on the scene, all occupants of the multi-unit home were out of the residence.
The fire was burning on the northwest corner of the home on both the first and second floor.
Following the initial call, Adrian Township, Sand Lake, and Ridgeway Fire Departments were called to assist. The County Air Truck and LCA were on scene as well… and the Tecumseh Police Department provided traffic control.
The fire was under control within about an hour and a half, and the cause is under investigation.
