The Adrian City Commission held a special meeting Monday night to talk about the study conducted by Tetra Tech that focused on drinking water taste and odor issues.

Although no action was taken by the Commission, several options were presented by Tetra Tech… ranging in scope. Some solutions were short-term, such as applying copper sulfate to Lake Adrian… and some were long-term, like purchasing a reverse osmosis treatment system.

After the Special Meeting of the Adrian City Commission Monday night, WLEN News got feedback from State Representative Bronna Kahle… who was in attendance.

She talked about what can be done at the state level to help address water issues in Adrian…

Mayor Chuck Jacobson pushed for a rather expensive option… a reverse osmosis system… and Representative Kahle talked to WLEN News more specifically about funding options to help take some of the burden off of Adrian residents…

Adrian Mayor Chuck Jacobson is looking for the end-all-be-all solution for drinking water taste and odor issues in the City of Adrian.

He said that a reverse osmosis system can be the answer.

WLEN News asked Mayor Jacobson if he thinks he can get the Commission on board with the multi-million dollar idea…
