
Tragedy hit a Raisin Township family after two young boys passed away as a result of burns sustained in a house fire on Sunday morning. They were 15 and 9 years old.
The cause of the fire continues to be under investigation, but authorities say it has been determined not to be suspicious.
Several outlets reporting that the two boys from Dayton, Ohio were staying at their family’s cabins on Black Highway in the back of the building. They suffered third-degree burns, and later passed away at Motts Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor.
Crews were dispatched to the fire at 12: 55am; including Adrian City, Adrian Township, Palmyra, Tecumseh City, and Cambridge Township.
The fire resulted in a “total loss” of the building.
