
Following an investigation by the Adrian Police Department into a retail and check fraud ring that was operating throughout Lenawee County and in portions of Jackson County in late 2018 and early 2019, the Lenawee County Prosecutor’s Office has authorized multiple felony arrest warrants for the above listed individuals.
Currently charged with a single count of Criminal Enterprises – Conducting are Jamie Furgason, Angela Scott, and Coty Sexton-Fleming. Austin Richardson has been charged with a single count of Organized Retail Fraud and a single count of Using a Computer to Commit a Crime. Furgason, Scott, and Richardson have been arrested and arraigned in 2A District Court and are currently awaiting preliminary examinations and trial.
Sexton-Fleming is currently incarcerated with the Michigan Department of Corrections and is scheduled for video arraignment on 6/7/2019.
Other suspects have been identified as part of this ring and the investigation is ongoing.
The Adrian Police Department was assisted by the Cambridge Township Police Department, Blissfield Police Department, the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Department, and the Michigan State Police.
