City of Adrian Seeking Director of Engineering Services

The City of Adrian is currently accepting applications for the position of Director of Engineering Services.

According to a post on the City’s Facebook page, the position directs and oversees infrastructure construction, maintenance and improvement projects within the City including, but not limited to, engineering work for a full range of municipal projects such as streets, sidewalks, water mains, sanitary and storm sewer lines, and other projects.

This position is responsible for the supervision and performance of the Engineering Services Department, the Department of Parks & Forestry, the Department of Public Works, solid waste collection services, and other departments directly or through subordinate supervisors and managers. The Director is assisted by an internal project manager and the City will soon seek proposals from qualified engineering firms to assist with related tasks on a contractual basis.

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in civil engineering or a related field. Qualified candidates will have seven or more years of relevant experience.
