Community Honors Athena Lenawee Award Recipients

Over 150 people gathered at Dominican Hall on the campus of Siena Heights University Thursday night to honor the 2019 Athena Lenawee Awards recipients.

County National Bank was recognized as the Parthenon Award recipient. The criteria for this award includes creating a gender diverse workforce.

Ashley Lavigne received the Athena Young Professionals Award. Ashley directs the social media for the Adrian Dominican Sisters and is also a past president of the Adrian Kiwanis Club.

The Athena Leadership Award was presented to Londa Pickles. She is the President of Gurdjian and Associates in Adrian. Londa’s community service list is long, as she has been involved with 4-H in Lenawee and MSU Extension for many years. She is a past chair of Lenawee Cares and the Adrian Area Chamber of Commerce, and she currently sits on the Morenci Area Schools Foundation. Londa has received many community awards including most recently the Stubnitz Award.

These awards are given annually and presented by Athena Lenawee… whose mission is to inspire, develop, and celebrate women’s leadership.
