The Adrian Public School District Board of Education reviewed a letter of intent from MVAH, LLC for the purchase of the Garfield School property.
MVAH Partners contacted APS Administration about the possibility of purchasing the land that formerly housed Garfield School, if they are successful at obtaining a state grant through the Due Diligence Period. They would build housing on the site. If they follow through with the purchase, the price paid would be $100,000.

The Board reviewed the resolution for sale of a portion of the lot formerly known as McKinley School to Logan Street, LLC. During the acceptance of proposals for the sale of the McKinley lot, the District discovered that there is a home that is landlocked by the property. Logan Street, LLC, submitted a proposal for purchase of the property, but only need a small section of the property for the home they own. The District has been working with the owners to come up with a solution to provide the small strip of property and continue working with Habitat for Humanity on the remainder of the parcel. The City has provided the District with a letter of preliminary approval.
