Update 9:27pm: the Tecumseh Police Department reports that he has been found in Kentucky. He was reported as very weak and was being taken to a hospital.
The Tecumseh Police Department needs your help with finding 78 year old James Helphinstine.
He was driving a 2005 Black Chevy Silverado. He left Tecumseh… heading to Kentucky for his sister’s funeral.
The department’s Facebook page reports that he never made it to the funeral . He’s driving around and keeps getting lost. He was seen in Charlestown, Indiana at a gas station early Wednesday. Then he was seen near Lexington, Kentucky at 11:10am Wednesday.
He suffers dementia, severe diabetes and a heart condition . He does not have his medications with him. In addition, he cannot read or write so he’s more than likely very confused . He’s been on the road for over 24 hours.
