Teen Expected To Make Full Recovery After Driving Off Roadway; Striking Two Trees With Truck

A 17 year old male from Tecumseh was life-flighted to St. Vincent Hospital after his truck struck two trees off of Occidental Highway Wednesday evening in Raisin Township.

The driver was travelling north towards Tecumseh, when he apparently fell asleep at the wheel and drove off of the roadway.

He was life-flighted from the scene due to shortness of breath, and is expected to make a full recovery. No alcohol or drugs were suspected in the accident, nor was speed a factor. No citations were issued.

The Raisin Township Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Raisin Township Fire Department, Tecumseh Fire Department, Adrian Township Police Department and the Michigan State Police.
