Nominating Petitions Available For Several Elected Positions in City of Adrian

In the City of Adrian… the terms of Mayor, Three City Commissioner seats and a 2 year partial term for City Commissioner will expire in November of this year.

Mayor Chuck Jacobson and Commissioners Allen Heldt, Mary Roberts, Lad Strayer and Kirk Valentine all will have their positions up for a vote. The term of office for Mayor is two years. The Commissioner candidates will serve a four year term.

Nominating petitions for City Offices are available at the Adrian City Clerk’s Office, 2nd floor, Adrian City Hall, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

To be valid, nominating petitions must contain the signatures of at least fifty but not more than one hundred registered electors of the City of Adrian. An elector may sign only one petition for the office of Mayor and no more than three petitions for City Commissioner. Only those signatures of registered electors of the City of Adrian will be counted.

The August Primary Election is tentatively scheduled for August 6th and the General City Election will be held November 5th of this year. For more information, contact Adrian City Hall.
