After the budget presentation, WLEN News asked Governor Whitmer: if the proposed gas tax passes, will certain areas be targeted for road repairs? How will Lenawee County benefit, since we don’t have that many state roads?…

WLEN News asked Governor Gretchen Whitmer if she has been made aware of the drinking water situation in the City of Adrian…

After the budget presentation, she went across town to Alexander Elementary School Monday to celebrate “March is Reading Month” with students. She was entertained by pupils from Michener Elementary as they performed a piece from the Lion King.

Afterwards, she answered questions from six students in the school’s library, with topics ranging from school safety to composting. Governor Whitmer then read to a select group of students from a book all about Michigan.

She talked about her time reading with the kids to WLEN News…
