Crime Stoppers of Lenawee is asking for help with information about a hit & run accident that occurred in the Village of Clinton. On Friday, January 18th, 2019 at approximately 7:05am, a silver or gray colored vehicle traveling east on W. Michigan Ave, and lost control and ran off the roadway, over the sidewalk and struck the store front of the Glow Tanning Company located at 107 W. Michigan Ave.
The crash caused the front window of the business to shatter, along with other damage to the building. The driver of the vehicle did not stop at the scene and has not reported the crash to local police. Video of the crash was captured by a local surveillance camera showing the vehicle striking the building, then leaving the scene driving east on the sidewalk, eventually turning south on Tecumseh Street. From the surveillance footage, the suspect vehicle appears to be compact car, possibility a Dodge Neon that has a black molding missing from the passenger door and may have front passenger side damage.
