Lenawee County residents will be able to help and show support for the Blissfield Township Fire Department after fire damaged their building recently. A chili cook-off fundraiser will be held this Sunday at the Blissfield American Legion from 1 until 3pm.
100% of funds raised will go to help the fire department. A suggested $10 donation ticket is being asked for at the door; also there will be a silent auction and door prizes. Any wishing to provide chili, make a donation, or want more information can contact Shannon at 419-574-2626.
Fire spread to the building during the morning hours of December 8th. The department has been operating out of a temporary location with borrowed equipment from area fire departments.
