With Proposal 1 passing on November 6th statewide, several governing bodies in the listening area are considering whether to ‘opt out’ of commercial recreational marijuana.
The topic was on the agenda at both the Blissfield Village Council meeting and the Morenci City Council meeting on Monday night.

Several area townships have considered similar ordinances. The Tecumseh City Council will have a second reading of their ordinance to prohibit recreational marijuana at their next meeting.
No ordinance has been presented to the Adrian City Commission.
These ordinances do not restrict the individual use of recreational marijuana.
