The Tecumseh League of Women Voters will hold a School Board Candidate Forum Tuesday October 30th from 7-9 p.m. at the Tecumseh Civic Auditorium located at 400 North Maumee in Tecumseh. This is a free non-partisan informational event.
Thirteen of the 14 candidates running for election will be present. Candidates will introduce themselves, answer questions presented by the moderator, and provide a closing statement.
Four candidates are running for two six-year term seats. Another two candidates are running for a vacated seat. Another eight candidates are running in the recall vote. Four of those are current board members; the other four are running to recall those school board members.
There will be no audience participation and campaigning is not allowed this forum.
The League of Women Voters is a national organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
