U1st Transitional Living Program recently held an open house at their location on North Winter Street in Adrian. According to the program’s Facebook page: “The mission of U1st Transitional Living Program is to serve the community by providing a sober living environment for women making the transition from addiction to long term recovery.”
U1st is a sober living facility for women in Lenawee County, Michigan. The program was started to assist the community with the devastating effects of opioid addiction. It is the U1st vision to cultivate and connect with support services so that all persons seeking a healthy and supportive environment will have the opportunity to reside within one. Women that are admitted go through clearly laid out stages to recovery. As they accomplish the goals of a stage, they move to a different room, where they can work on the next stage.
U1st was founded by Lenawee County Attorneys who were motivated by the devastating statistics for women with substance use disorders in Lenawee County. Rooms at U1st are furnished by sponsors, with each having their own unique style. There are still rooms available for sponsorship; so if you are interested, contact U1st.
