Area Independence Day Celebrations and Helpful Fireworks Tips from The Lenawee County Sheriff’s Department

As the Fourth of July holiday nears, WLEN Radio wants everyone to have fun and stay safe while celebrating. Lenawee County Undersheriff Troy Bevier has some helpful safety tips…

Here is the line-up of Independence Day celebrations and fireworks shows:

CLINTON: The Smith Kimball Community Center at 211 Tecumseh Road in Clinton will be having a 4th of July Celebration on Wednesday, July 4th from 1-4pm. There will be bike decorating and parade; food and games; karaoke entertainment and a potluck lunch table (please bring your own tableware). The Clinton American Legion will be collecting personal care items during the event. Donations will be given to the Ann Arbor VA Hospital.

ADRIAN: Civitan of Lenawee will be having a “Star Spangled Pride” parade on Wednesday, July 4th. Line-up is at 9am on Greenly Street. The parade will then start at 10am heading east on Maumee Street to monument Park (near the Adrian Post Office). To register for the parade, call 734-418-8870 or email tcrhythms@tc3net.com.

DEVILS LAKE: Devils and Round Lakes Fireworks Association will have a fireworks show Wednesday, July 4th at dusk at the Devils Lake Sand Bar. Rain date is July 5th. 103.9, WLEN will be providing music for the fireworks show.

BROOKLYN: Fireworks will be held on Wednesday, July 4th at dusk from the Columbia Middle School football field on School Street in Brooklyn.

MANCHESTER: Fireworks will be held in Manchester at Carr Park, 600 West Main Street, Tuesday, July 3rd. Fireworks will begin at approximately 10:15am and last until 11pm.

HILLSDALE: Hillsdale will have their parade and fireworks on Tuesday, July 3rd. The parade starts at 6pm in downtown Hillsdale. There will be an All American Celebration at the Hillsdale Fairgrounds with food and entertainment. Admission is free. Fireworks will be at dusk.

MONROE: The 21st annual River Raisin Independence Day Festival and Fireworks will be on Tuesday, July 3rd at Sterling State Park, 2800 State Park Road, Monroe. The festival is from noon until 11pm. A recreation pass will be needed to enter the state park. Fireworks will be at dusk.

JACKSON: Fireworks at Jackson’s Cascade Falls Park at 1401 Brown Street will be on Tuesday, July 3rd with rain date on Thursday, July 5th. Fireworks will be at dusk. There will be music and other events.

WAUSEON, OHIO: Fireworks in Wauseon will be on Tuesday, July 3rd at 10:10pm at Biddle Park, 1000 Biddle Park Drive in Wauseon. Admission is free.

SYLVANIA, OHO: Sylvania’s “Star Spangled Celebration” will be on Tuesday, July 3rd from 7pm until midnight at Centennial Terrace. Admission is $5; children 12 and under $3. Parking is $5 per car. Fireworks will be at around 10pm. Fireworks may also be viewed from Sylvania Pacesetter Park at 8801 Sylvania
