The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps, the seven-time Drum Corps International (DCI) World Champion, will spend this year’s pre-tour training at Adrian College in Adrian, Michigan.

While the Color Guard is in Chicago for their week at Visceral Dance Studio and the Drum Line is at Michigan State for their early move-in, the rest of the operation has turned its sights on Adrian College – the official home of The Cavaliers’ 2018 pre-tour.

The pre-tour season consists of 35 days of physical training, leadership development and rehearsals for all sections of the drum corps. This effort is the first step in preparing the organizations’ 2018 program, ON MADNESS AND CREATIVITY. This pre-tour training is an important time for The Cavaliers as they prepare to compete in the DCI World Championships in Indianapolis, Ind.

Denise Hein, Director of Conferences, spoke on behalf of Adrian College’s Office of Conferences on hosting the corps. “We are thrilled to host The Cavaliers on campus this summer through June 20th. During this time, the community will have unprecedented times to enjoy this world class organization. There are many volunteer opportunities available as well. Please share in our excitement by supporting this renown group of young people.”

“We are excited to spend five weeks here at beautiful Adrian College. The staff has been incredible and along with Adrian’s exceptional facilities it was an easy decision to bring The Cavaliers here to prepare for our 70th Anniversary tour,” said Joe Roach, Director of Programs.

“We started looking for facilities here in Michigan once we learned DCI Tour Premiere for the 2018 DCI Summer Tour would be at Ford Field in Detroit on June 21,” Roach added. “Partnering with a great institution like Adrian College helps The Cavaliers connect to our fans and find new ones along the way. Denise Hein, Rebecca Ghena, and the entire team at Adrian College have made us feel like part of the Adrian family every step of the way.”
