With the weather situation Wednesday night in the listening area, those of you signed up to receive Rave Alerts may have been alerted a little more than anticipated. WLEN News reached out to Lenawee County Emergency Management Coordinator Craig Tanis, and he tells us that it was a technical issue that his office is working diligently to get 100% resolved today.
UPDATE from Craig Tanis Thursday afternoon:
“After working with RAVE through much of last night and again this morning, I have been assured that the technical issues with the weather alerts have been resolved. The system should now work as intended. The only way people should receive more than one alert is if one warning expires and another new warning is issued. I apologize for any inconvenience, frustration, and annoyance this has caused. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we move forward.”
