
WLEN News received an update from the Adrian Police Department regarding the stabbing in the city. The press release reads:
“On 5/1/2018, members of the Adrian Police Department were dispatched to the 600 block of E Maumee St to investigate a stabbing. Witnesses in the area reported seeing a man running down E Maumee St. covered in blood. When officers arrived, they located a 26 year old Weston man who had sustained a significant laceration and a puncture wound to his upper back. He was transported to Toledo Hospital via helicopter where he was treated and later released.
Officers on scene were able to determine that the stabbing was related to a nearby residence and a search warrant was executed. Evidence was collected from inside that residence and additional leads are being pursued. A suspect in this case was developed and has been taken into custody. The name of the suspect is being withheld pending arraignment.
