Blissfield, MI – The 37th Annual River Raisin Festival is turning its free, live entertainment schedule on its ear this year with a five-band Battle of the Bands competition on Saturday, July 10th.
Already competing are Fifth Business, Common Ground, Stealin’ Copper and Tara Renee. One more band will be accepted into the competition. A $100 refundable deposit is required, but will be returned to non-finalists at the first cut and then at performance time for the finalist bands.
River Raisin Festival President Rick Allen said that the winning band will receive a $1000 winner-take-all grand prize.
The finalist bands will have a 40-minute performance set on the Pavilion Stage and a 15-minute set-up and 15-minute tear-down period. The winner will be determined by cash votes by fans and by mystery judges.
