Scott Cripe, head football coach at Adrian High School, has stepped down from his position effective Friday, November 30th.

In a meeting with the team this Friday morning, Coach Cripe informed them of his decision to resign. He wished the players luck going forward and that he will be supporting them in future seasons.
Cripe served as the Maple head coach for the past 4 seasons, compiling an overall record of 12-27 during that time. The Maples were the MHSAA District Champions in the 2016 season.

Athletic Director John Roberts stated, “We are appreciative of the time and energy Coach Cripe gave to Maple football, and many players will take away positive memories and life lessons from their experience under Coach Cripe. He cared greatly about his players and lead us to a district championship for the first time since 2011.”
Roberts also stated that district administration would be meeting in the coming days to set the search parameters for hiring a new head football coach at Adrian High School.
