On Thursday August 23rd at approximately 11:35 pm, members of the Adrian Police Department were dispatched to the area of N McKenzie St and W Maumee St to investigate an armed robbery involving a firearm. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the complainant and learned that an unknown male was observed stealing items from a nearby car. When confronted, he pointed a firearm at multiple subjects and fled on foot with the stolen property.
With the assistance of the Adrian Police Department’s K9 unit, a track was conducted. As a result of the track, the stolen property was recovered along with the weapon used. Based on the information obtained at the scene and during the K9 track, a search warrant was obtained and executed in the 900 block of W Maumee St. Additional evidence was located.
