MSP Trooper Byron Erickson was honored at a ceremony at Oakwood Cemetery at 11am Tuesday, May 15th in recognition of National Police week. Erickson passed away 25 years ago (7-31-93) in the line of duty.
The traditional program included an honor guard, a 21-gun salute, the playing of “Taps,” lowering the U.S. and Michigan flags, and the placement of a wreath to honor the fallen.
