Patrick Lee Vallad – Tipton

Patrick Lee Vallad, age 79, of Tipton, Michigan, died July 10, 2025, after a difficult battle with Lewy Body Dementia, with his family at his side.
Pat was born to Marvin and Gertrude (Sabourin) Vallad on July 30, 1945, in Tecumseh, MI. He spent his early years in Onsted and Tecumseh making many lifelong friends. Pat graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1963 and continued his post high school education at Stautzenberger and Henry Ford Community College.
Pat honorably served in the National Guard during the time of the Detroit riots. He was a proud employee of Ford Motor Company for 36 years, working as a diemaker and a prototype and process engineer. Pat developed several patents while employed. He loved to golf, bowl, play softball and ice hockey and watch his grandchildren as they shone brightly with their skills.
Pat has been a loving husband to Mary (Kilgore), whom he married on August 19, 1989. He was blessed with three wonderful sons, Mark (Mary), Stacy (Danielle) and Troy (Beth); seven beloved grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Gertrude; brother, Alan; sister, Sandra Jean; and first wife, Carole.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian, with the funeral service beginning at noon. Burial at Brookside Cemetery will take place at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association in Lilburn, Georgia; or to the University of Michigan’s Carl Rinne Lewy Body Dementia Support, Education and Awareness Fund online here or by sending a check made payable to the Michigan Alzheimer’s Disease Center with Rinne LBD Initiative in the memo line.
