ADRIAN — The Adrian District Library will host author Joel Walkowski for a presentation on his memoir, “Honolulu Blues,” Saturday, September 26.
The event will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Adrian library’s Community Room at 143 East Maumee Street.
The book uses Walkowski’s lifelong relationship with the Detroit Lions as a backdrop for his experiences with addiction, homelessness, family trauma and his eventual path to sobriety.
Walkowski will discuss his life, writing process and lessons from those experiences.
The occasion is free and registration is not required. More information is available through the Adrian District Library at 517-265-2265.
