ADRIAN — A judge has removed the GPS tether for Felisha Madison, the woman charged in the hit-and-run that seriously injured Adrian teen Dakota Courington.
During a motion hearing Wednesday, Judge Michael Olsaver approved the change but left all other bond conditions in place.
Madison is charged with failure to stop at the scene of an accident resulting in serious impairment.
Meanwhile, Dakota continues his recovery nearly two years after the August 2024 crash. Family members say he remains in rehabilitation, uses a wheelchair, cannot eat regular food and still struggles to breathe independently.
However, Dakota has shown progress, and his family hopes to bring him home once accommodations are complete.
