
Carmon R. “Jake” Ward Jr., age 64, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born to Carmon R. Ward, Sr. and Sue Ellen Ward-Henry on October 6, 1960, in Toledo, Ohio.
After graduating from high school, Jake went to work for Jeep in Toledo eventually working his way up to line lead. On January 23, 2003, he married the love of his life Bonnie Lou Campbell in Hillsdale, Michigan. Jake was a jack of all trades, he enjoyed plumbing, electrical, carpentry and small engine repair. “Country” as his co-workers called him, could be found on his days off fishing, hunting or woodworking. His artistic side was a special gift that he shared with his family from welding art pieces to chainsaw carvings. His creations are works of art that his family and friends received as gifts that they will forever cherish.
Left to honor Jake’s memory are his wife Bonnie, mother Sue, sons; Lucas Ward, Michael (Shannon) Fuller, Jason (Lynnann) Fuller, daughters; Naomi (Alex) Reinbolt, Lyndsey (Tony) Gorzelski, sisters; Cheryl (Ron) Feasel and Deborah Frank; 17 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. He is preceded by his daughter Leah Ward, father, Carmon Sr.; stepdad, Mark Henry; and brother, David Ward.
Visitation will be at Eagle-Marry Funeral Home, Hudson, MI on Monday, November 25, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation.
