Madison Twp., MI – A 72-year-old woman died from apparent gunshot wounds from what police say was a domestic related incident.
Friday night at about 9pm, the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office and Madison Township Police Department were dispatched to a report of a domestic violence incident on Baldwin Hwy in Madison Twp involving a shooting.
According to Sheriff’s Deputies, upon their arrival at the residence they discovered a 72 year old female deceased in the house from apparent gunshot wounds. The suspect, a 72 year old male, was taken into custody and has been lodged at the Lenawee County Jail pending formal arraignment on homicide charges. The firearm used in the crime has been recovered by Sheriff’s Deputies. The Michigan State Police Crime Lab has been called to the residence to process the scene for evidence.
