Motorcycle Driver in Critical Condition after Crash in Britton

Britton, MI – A motorcycle driver is in critical condition at a hospital from injuries sustained in a crash in Britton.

The Michigan State Police- Monroe Post says that at approximately 4:44pm Wednesday, troopers were dispatched to a single motorcycle injury crash near the intersection of S. Main Street and Wells Street in the Village of Britton.

Upon arrival on scene, troopers determined the following sequence of events occurred: a Harley Davidson motorcycle, occupied by a single rider, was traveling south on S. Main Street and while crossing over railroad tracks, lost control of the motorcycle and crashed just south of Wells Street.

The operator fell from the motorcycle during the crash and suffered life-threatening injuries. The operator was transported by Lenawee Community Ambulance to the hospital where he remains in critical condition. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash and this incident remains under investigation.
