Adrian, MI – Housing Help of Lenawee received $2,000 from Gleaner Life Insurance Society’s Flag Day flag exchange project for local veterans’ needs.
Housing Help of Lenawee accepted the donation for its Veterans Dire Needs Fund.
H2Lenawee can use the funds for needs that may not meet traditional funding eligibility. Some of these include providing veterans deposits on apartment rentals, home repairs, utilities, medical and prescription costs, car repairs, and many other needs.
Gleaner Life matched $1,000 that was contributed by participants during the Flag Day flag exchange. The project gave out 125 new American flags while retiring 200 old and worn flags that were dropped off.
