Rollover Crash in Madison Twp. Injures Two

Madison Twp., MI – A rollover crash in Madison Township Saturday morning injured two people.

The Madison Township Police Department reports that at approximately 10:15am they were dispatched to the intersection of E. Gorman and Treat Hwy for the crash. MTPD says that a vehicle going northbound on Treat Hwy stopped for the stop sign then proceeded into the intersection not observing a vehicle that was going westbound on E. Gorman Road.

The westbound vehicle was unable to avoid the northbound vehicle and struck the vehicle in the passenger side. After the collision the westbound vehicle went off the roadway and turned upside down on the roof of the vehicle.

The passenger a 39-year-old female from the Temperance area from the westbound vehicle was transported to ProMedica Hickman Hospital for minor injuries. The driver of the northbound vehicle, an 82-year-old male from the Saline area was also transported to ProMedica Hickman hospital for minor injuries.

The driver and three other passengers of the westbound vehicle reported no injuries at the time of the crash. The 82-year-old driver of the northbound vehicle cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way.

The Madison Township Police Department was assisted by the Madison Township Fire Department and the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Department.
